Alex Rodriguez's MLB Lawsuit Now Includes This Dumb Photo
Alex Rodriguez's legal team has updated his lawsuit against MLB with new "evidence" that Bud Selig has it out for him, including the above photo.
The picture, of Selig posting with a young fan in an "A-Roid shirt," was taken in 2009 but first appeared on this here website this past July. It's from the pre-All Star Game fanfest in Cincinnati St. Louis, and the kid presumably walked up to Selig for a photo.
Via ESPN New York, which first reported the amended lawsuit, here's how Rodriguez's complaint describes the photo.
"Sadly, this cowardly stance by Mr. Selig is consistent with his past and highly inappropriate conduct in posing, smilingly, with a young fan wearing a T-shirt with a derogatory message directed at Mr. Rodriguez," the amended complaint reads.
"One cannot imagine the commissioner of any other professional sport — or indeed CEO of any business — doing something similar with respect to one of his or her players or employees."
I'm not sure that will hold up in a court of law, but it's worth a shot. But Rodriguez also including our oft-used photo of Selig picking his nose just seems like a cheap shot.
