Barry Trotz On Possibly Misguided Quest To Keep Tiger At Columbus Zoo
According to a series of tweets from Aaron Portzline—the Blue Jackets beat reporter for The Columbus Dispatch—Washington Capitals coach Barry Trotz is trying to prevent an Amur (Siberian) tiger named Foley from being transferred from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to the Kansas City Zoo. You see, Foley is recently beloved by Ohio State fans when the above picture of him doing an 'H' won a zoo photo contest.
Why exactly is Foley being transferred? Trotz wasn't able to say.
But a guy who sounds like he knows what he is talking tweeted a compelling explanation to Portzline:
Oh. That sounds like a better idea than keeping Foley in Columbus because he stood up on a fence once.
