Mandatory Credit: Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images After a breakout season in 2024, Denver Broncos outside linebacker Nik Bonitto signed a four-year contract extension Thursday.
Bonitto's agency, Athletes First, announced the contract is worth $106 million, and multiple media reports said the deal was worth up to $120 million with incentives and includes $70 million guaranteed.
Bonitto, who was entering the final season of his rookie contract and due $5.3 million in base salary, becomes the highest-paid non-quarterback in Broncos history, per ESPN.
He is coming off his first Pro Bowl season. He set career highs with 13.5 sacks (third in NFL), 48 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 24 quarterback hits, one interception (returned 71 yards for a touchdown), two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 17 regular-season games (15 starts) in 2024.
Bonitto, who turns 26 on Sept. 26, has 92 career tackles, 23 sacks, 30 tackles for loss and 47 QB hits in 47 regular-season games (20 starts) since 2022.
Denver selected Bonitto in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma.
The Broncos earlier this offseason agreed to four-year contract extensions with defensive lineman Zach Allen ($102 million) and wide receiver Courtland Sutton ($92 million).
Denver opens the season at home against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
