Mandatory Credit: Ken Blaze-Imagn Images After Cleveland Browns standout edge rusher Myles Garrett missed Thursday's practice, he was back at practice on Friday, two days before the team opens its 2025 season at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Garrett showed up on the Browns' Thursday injury report with a hip injury after he was a full participant on Wednesday. But Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski didn't seem worried about Garrett's one-day absence.
"No scare. He's good ...," Stefanski said after Friday's practice. "Just was feeling a little uncomfortable, but he's good to go."
After initially requesting a trade early this past offseason, Garrett inked a four-year, $160 million contract (over $123 million guaranteed) in March to remain in Cleveland.
It was at the time the biggest contract in NFL history for a non-quarterback, but that is no longer the case after Micah Parsons signed a four-year, $186 million extension with Green Bay shortly after he was traded there on Aug. 28.
Garrett, 29, has made six Pro Bowls -- including each of the last five seasons -- and earned four first-team All-Pro nods in his eight-year career, all of which has been played in Cleveland. He's coming off a 2024 season where he had a career-high 22 tackles for loss along with 14 sacks, his fourth straight year with 14-plus sacks.
With 102.5 career sacks, Garrett is tied for 38th on the NFL's all-time sacks list entering the 2025 season.
