Former Call of Duty world champion Adam "Assault" Garcia announced his retirement after the 2025 Esports World Cup. Former Call of Duty world champion Adam "Assault" Garcia announced his retirement from competition after Team WaR was eliminated from the Esports World Cup.
Assault, 29, was named MVP while winning the CoD World League Championship with Evil Geniuses in 2018. During his lengthy career, Assault also spent time with Cloud9, Team Envy, the Minnesota ROKKR and LA Guerrillas, among others. He joined WaR in February.
Assault helped WaR reached the finals of the S-Tier of the Call of Duty Challengers last month, where they finished third after being swept 3-0 by OMiT Brooklyn.
