Guy Runs Over Kid Trying To Get Game-Tying Grand Slam In Seattle
So, there's a pretty bonkers game going on in the Pacific Northwest. The Mariners and White Sox were in a scoreless tie for 13 innings before Alex Rios broke the tie with a little single to left-center. Chicago added four more runs and, mercifully, it looked like the game was over.
But! You forgot about Kyle Seager. Down 5-1, with the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam to tie the whole damned thing up again. It was a crazy moment so you can forgive this guy running over what is likely his own progeny to track down such a momentous ball.
Chicago scored two runs in the 16th to take a 7-5 lead. The two teams have, as of this writing, combined for 33 hits and 12 runs in a game they spent 13 innings not scoring at all.
