The news is that underhand free throws are cool again, and they’re back in the NBA.
Chinanu Onuaku, Rockets rookie/pioneer, started shooting grannies before his sophomore season at Louisville, and his free throw percentage immediately increased. The Rockets picked him in the second round this year, and he tossed in a few underhanders during the team’s recent trip to China.
Onuaku is a partial replacement for Dwight Howard, and he’s already cooler.
