Hornets trade veteran G Tyus Jones to Mavericks

The move opens a $7 million trade exception, according to the report.
Jones, 29, had just been traded from the Orlando Magic to the Wizards for cash considerations. He was scoring 3.0 points with 2.4 assists in 48 games (eight starts) for the Magic this season.
In 11 career seasons with five organizations, Jones has scored 7.4 points with 4.3 assists in 730 games (226 starts).
Branham, 22, was traded from the Washington Wizards to the Mavericks in the Anthony Davis deal on Wednesday. He was scoring 4.6 points in 28 games off the bench for the Wizards this season.
