Ken Rosenthal Now Writing On Facebook Because Fox Sports Sucks Ass
Paul Sancya/AP Images Ken Rosenthal, who has been at FOX Sports since 2005, tweeted this afternoon that he is “wait[ing] to find a new writing home” now that FoxSports.com is all-video. Yikes.
Rosenthal is one of the industry’s top baseball reporters, and is flexible in his ability to break news and transactions and still file insightful columns. That he of all people would be displaced from his writing platform is bleak.
In the meantime, Rosenthal will be posting his columns to Facebook, he says:
Despite the dot-com bullshit going on at Fox Sports, Rosenthal will still be on TV. He was Fox’s dugout reporter during last night’s All-Star Game in Miami.
A week and a half ago, Rosenthal tweeted directions to find his video work on FoxSports.com. It was apparently buried beneath pounds of shitty Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock videos that no one except deranged meatheads wants:
We’ve reached out to Rosenthal to ask if his contract limits his ability to publish elsewhere, and we’ve offered him the run of this site if he wants it. Among all of Fox Sports’ baffling recent digital decisions, squeezing out Rosenthal is one of the wildest.
In the meantime, Ken, come write for Deadspin.
