Marlins Give Up Homer On First Pitch Of Season
credits: ESPN About 25 seconds into the baseball season, the Miami Marlins were losing.
Ian Happ hit a homer on Jose Urena’s first pitch of the 2018 Major League Baseball season, taking a 95 mph fastball deep into the right field stands. The Derek Jeter era in Miami is off to a great start.
Urena then walked the next batter, Kris Bryant, and hit two other batters in the first inning to load the bases. Jason Heyward then walked for another run. Then Urena hit another batter to force in a third run. Mercifully, Jon Lester grounded out to end the inning with the Cubs up 3-0.
Looking like a fun season for Miami already!
