NASCAR CEO Arrested For DUI, Possession Of Oxycodone
credits: Streeter Lecka | source: Getty According to a news release from the Sag Harbor Village police department in New York, NASCAR chairman and CEO Brian France was arrested for driving while intoxicated and for being in criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest, which was first reported by TMZ, occurred on Sunday night after France drove through a stop sign. Cops then determined that France was operating the vehicle while under the influence, and proceeded to find oxycodone pills in his possession.
France spent the night in jail and was released on Monday morning. He’s been CEO of NASCAR since 2003.
