NFL Week Thirteen, Update #2
• What a week for Pac-Man Jones... he gets his seized car back at a bargain price, and now, his Titans have pulled the big-time upset of Indianapolis Colts. And they did it despite wearing powder blue uniforms, which is normal and fine... except when paired with powder blue pants, when it starts to look sort of... well, not manly. It was Titans kicker Rob Bironas with a 60-yard field goal with :07 to give the Titans the 20-17 win.
• It must be nice to be a Bears fan and not need an offense to win. Rex Grossman continues to have what is probably the most up-and-down season for a quarterback in NFL history. Today's performance established a new low ... he's currently 6-of-18 for 34 yards and 3 interceptions. And yet, the Bears are going to win. Comfortably. One of their scores is on a punt return by Devin Hester, another an INT return from Ricky Manning Jr., and a safety from Tank Johnson. And Cedric Benson scored from 24 yards out, but that must have been an accident. 23-13 Bears, late in the 4th quarter.
• Reggie Bush... that's more like it. Reginald caught 9 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, and also added 3 touchdowns on the ground. And that's on top of the 24 carries for 131 yards from Dulymus McAllister. The Saints are laying wood to the 49ers, 31-10.
