Reports: Bulls Trade Jimmy Butler To Timberwolves For Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn
Photo Credit: Jonathan Daniel/ [object Object] Days of frenzied Jimmy Butler trade rumors have apparently met their end, via reports from Adrian Wojnarowski and the Chicago Tribune’s K.C. Johnson, among others. The Bulls are sending Butler and their No. 16 draft pick to Minnesota in exchange for shooting guard Zach LaVine, point guard Kris Dunn and the No. 7 pick tonight.
Butler set a career high last year by averaging 23 points per game, along with five assists and six rebounds. The trade means that he gets the chance to reunite with his old coach Tom Thibodeau, who just finished his first season with the Timberwolves. Meanwhile, LaVine ended a breakout season early with a torn ACL, and Dunn was largely a non-factor in his rookie year.
