Means, an All-Star in 2019 who pitched a no-hitter in 2021, is rehabbing from his second Tommy John surgery.
The 31-year-old veteran was 23-26 with a 3.68 ERA in 78 games (73 starts) for the Baltimore Orioles from 2018-24. He was runner-up for American League Rookie of the Year honors in 2019 and was Baltimore's Opening Day starter in 2021 and 2022.
Means has only made 10 appearances since the 2021 season, including four starts last season before having elbow surgery in June. His first Tommy John surgery was in May 2022.
