That Time Joe Maddon Parked His Classic Car In A Handicapped Spot
In Boston, when the manager leaves under contentious circumstances, they smear him by accusing him of being addicted to painkillers. In laid-back St. Pete, they find an old photo of the manager parked in a handicapped spot.
We were sent this today, hours after it was announced that Joe Maddon will be joining the Cubs after unexpectedly leaving the Rays. The undated photo shows Maddon's 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air (which he bought in 2012 to celebrate signing a contract extension that was to keep him as Rays manager through the end of the 2015 season) parked in a handicapped space at what appears to be the Rays' spring training park in Port Charlotte.
It's shameful, really, just how nice that car is.
