The 200-Meter Butterfly Was Decided By An Incredibly Close Finish
Photo credit: Morry Gash/ [object Object] That photo up there comes from the very end of the women’s 200-meter butterfly final. Spain’s Mireia Belmonte Garcia, the swimmer on the right, took the gold medal from Australia’s Madeline Groves, on the left, by just 0.03 seconds, coming from behind in the final lap and out-touching her on the wall. This Spanish commentator rocking back and forth as he calls the final length captures the excitement of the race.
Look how close it ended up. This shot makes it looks as if Groves is going to win.
