This David Vaughan Goal Against Newcastle Was Kind Of Ridiculous
This morning, Newcastle played rivals Sunderland in an English Premier League match. The matchup is supposed to be one of the fiercest derbies in England, but today was nothing short of a beat down. Sunderland, staving off relegation, traveled to Newcastle and trounced the home side, 3-0, in front of Toon supporters.
The best goal was the final one, when midfield sub David Vaughan collected a pass on the left side of the box and ripped an absolutely savage shot across the face of the goal, past the helpless keeper, and into the far top corner.
The whole team went nuts celebrating Vaughan's first goal in over a year, including Sunderland's new manager Paolo Di Canio, who looks in the replay like he just may have caught the Holy Ghost.
