Mandatory Credit: Rob Gray-Imagn Images Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein was diagnosed with a right calf strain and will be re-evaluated in 10-14 days, per a team announcement on Saturday.
The Thunder have gotten off to a blazing 19-1 start, and Hartenstein has been an integral part of that success.
The big man is averaging 12.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in 19 games. He is second on the team in PER (21.2), box plus/minus (+4.1) and win shares (2.8), trailing only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Hartenstein, who missed 12 days last season with the same ailment, did not play in the win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday. The Thunder deployed a smaller starting lineup, sliding Chet Holmgren over to center and starting both Cason Wallace and Jalen Williams.
