Today's Diamondbacks-Rockies Game Was Delayed Due To Bees. Lots Of Bees. [UPDATE]
A swarm of bees delayed today's Arizona-Colorado game in Denver for several minutes during the top of the fifth inning, as the mass of winged insects invaded the first base line and Rockies' dugout before eventually gathering near a photographers' well on the the right field line.
That well was, understandably, very quickly evacuated. (Despite the bravado shown on television, camera operators eventually came to their senses and found shelter.) Any regular picnicker knows bees will find their way into an open can of beer sooner than later, but we had no idea they were attracted to Coors Field, too. Later on, some helpful advice appeared on a Twitter scroll on the broadcast:

Update (5:32 p.m.): They are removing the bees with what appears to be a vacuum cleaner!
