Tom Brady Says He'll Stop Fighting And Take The NFL's Four-Game Suspension
Photo: [object Object] Tom Brady’s last option to overturn his four-game suspension was to try and take the case to the Supreme Court, but instead, he’s ending his battle against the NFL. After having his latest appeal rejected Wednesday, the Patriots quarterback said today that he will not continue to fight his punishment for his role in Ballghazi.
I’m very grateful for the overwhelming support I’ve received from Mr. Kraft, the Kraft family, coach Belichick, my coaches and teammates, the NFLPA, my agents, my loving family and most of all, our fans. It has been a challenging 18 months and I have made the difficult decision to no longer proceed with the legal process. I’m going to work hard to be the best player I can be for the New England Patriots and I look forward to having the opportunity to return to the field this fall.
Ballghazi is over, 544 days later. Brady’s first game will be in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns.
