Twins recall former top overall pick Royce Lewis

Lewis, the top overall pick of the 2017 MLB Draft, was optioned to the Saints on May 19. He batted .340 (18-for-53) with eight homers and 19 RBIs in 13 games for St. Paul.
Lewis, 27, is batting .163 with three homers and 13 RBIs with 37 strikeouts in 31 games this season for the Twins.
He is hitting .246 with 49 homers and 169 RBIs in 289 career games with the Twins.
Also on Saturday, the Twins designated outfielder James Outman for release or assignment.
Outman, 29, batted .156 (10-for-64) with four doubles, one triple and three RBIs in 49 games this season.
