We’ve previously illustrated here how UFC has positioned weird robot Sage Northcutt as the future of the franchise, but the blond teenager’s rise up the MMA ranks appears to be retarded a bit after he lost by submission to Bryan Barberena—a fighter of whom you’ve probably never heard, and whose obscurity extends so far that he lacks a Wikipedia page.

Northcutt’s progression was already being slowed due to legitimately skilled fighters blocking his way; Barberena was supposed to be an easy win for the 19-year-old. Oops!
