Wolverines Get In On The Rap Game
This image was lost some time after publication. In the tradition of Miami's Seventh Floor Crew, three Michigan football players — Jerome Jackson, Tyrone Jordan and Landon Smith — have recorded a supposedly derogatory song called "Measly Penny", in which the players take turns denigrating a woman who apparently has caused them collective pain. (Kudos to the Michigan Daily, which broke this story.)
The story is catching on a bit, but we're having trouble working ourselves up into much of a Seventh Floor Crew lather on this one. First off, the players' rap name, "the Mean Team," as aggressively lame to the point of comedy. The song also is tame, lyric-wise; no "multiply the bitch up then you get my dick size" here. And the worst part? It's just a lousy song; it just kind of plods along. It's far more Ann Arbor than Miami, we'll say that.
You can listen to the song right here, if you're into that type of thing. (Thanks to The Realests for the link.) As you can probably tell, we're a little bored by this story. Sorry.
